Theme 2020

We may all be in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic - but nothing was going to stop us from delivering a Tyca Festival for you this year!
It may not be live, it may be virtual, but it did HAPPEN! A festival for you to take part in and enjoy...

Our theme for 2020's Festival was:2020 Vision for the Future

The Tyca Programme

Check out the exciting and interactive events delivered throughout the Summer and our festival weekend, which was on the 23rd - 24th October. This is still available for you to see online now!
We brought you a unique experience this year - a fully virtual festival!
Filmed at Tacchi Morris Arts Centre, outdoor and in other venues around Taunton, you will feel that you were part of the audience with these amazing performances.

We welcome Ian McNeice to Tyca!

We are very excited to announce that Ian joined the Tyca Festival this year!
Ian, who is well know to the public as Bert Large in the immensely popular Doc Martin or as Winston Churchill in Doctor Who, introduced the planned performances this year.

Our thanks ...

In the face of our present adversity we are especially grateful to the Brownsword Charitable Foundation, Somerset West & Taunton Council, The Schroder Charity Trust, Trevor Smallwood, Philip Gibbs and our many other supporters for their ongoing and enthusiastic support for Tyca. Without them it would be impossible to enable the young people of Taunton to take part in what has now become a unique opportunity to express their creativity.
