Selected applicants will join our group which exists to ensure that young people’s voices are at the heart of Taunton’s arts agenda. This includes planning Taunton Together, Taunton’s largest annual festival, and a number of smaller events such as our youth theatre festival and fundraising events.
New youth board members will be invited to Taunton Together 27/09/25 to experience the festival in its current format. We will then meet monthly on Wednesday evenings in Taunton to plan Taunton Together 2026 and other arts events. The youth board will have dedicated programming budgets and significant creative control over everything we do.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain event management experience, build your CV and help make the local arts community the best that it can be. You will receive training and work alongside Taunton’s major decision makers from Taunton Town Council, Arts Taunton and a huge range of brilliant partner organisations.
The TYCA youth board has been running since 2022. Each year some members leave (often to uni) and others join - keeping our ideas fresh but ensuring we keep hold of everything we have learned together.
