For young people

If you are aged 5-25 and living in/from the Taunton area then TYCA Festival exists for YOU!

There are so many different ways you can get involved with TYCA and if none of the following options look right for you please contact us to fix that.

I am a young artist looking for opportunities to get my work out there.

We are always looking for new young artists to support. When we say “artist” we mean anyone interested in music, dance, visual art, poetry, theatre, circus, photography, film and just about anything else you might call art!
We understand that no two artists are the same so we try to keep our artist support offer as flexible as possible.

The kinds of things we can offer include:

    performance and exhibition opportunities
    mentoring and advice
    workshops and masterclasses
    support applying for funding, etc.

I am interested in joining the TYCA Youth Board

The TYCA Youth Board is currently full with 15 awesome young people in the team. We would love to open it up further but 15 voices is already a lot for one meeting room!
We usually recruit new members each November. Sign up to our mailing list below to be the first to hear about opportunities to join.
Just because you can’t join the Youth Board right now doesn’t mean you can’t have your say on what TYCA Festival should or shouldn't be! Fill in the form on our contact page if you want to be in touch with our team and let us know your ideas.

I want to learn a new skill or develop an existing one. (For example - Where can I learn street dance in Taunton?)

We are pretty sure we know which opportunities to learn the creative arts in Taunton already exist. We also try to fill gaps if there is something you are looking for but can’t find. Get in touch with us here (insert link to main contact us form) and let us know what you are looking for. We will do everything we can to help.

How else can I get involved?

We are constantly on the lookout for young people in the Taunton area to get involved in our festival. Each year we need young stewards, technicians, chefs, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, social media managers etc etc.
