Open Box Circus Workshops

By Fuse Outdoor Arts

Learn how to throw, catch, balance, spin and roll a whole host of traditional circus props! Participants will be invited to learn juggling, diablo, flower sticks, poi and plate spinning to name but a few... There will be something in this workshop for EVERYONE regardless of age or ability.

Aerosol Art Workshop

By Fresh Rotten Apples

The truly incredible Sam Gaden from Fresh Rotten Apples will coordinate the creation of a live collaborative street art piece. Arrive early to avoid disappointment because when it is done it is done!
Sam has been working as a professional aerosol artist for over 4 years and has created many of Taunton’s best loved street art pieces.

Puppetry Workshops

By The Bluebirds Theatre Company

Join The Bluebirds Theatre Company for an interactive puppet and music making workshop on their very own mobile pop-up stage - The Popera House.
This is a fully functioning mobile theatre space with flip out stage and integrated light and sound system. In the workshop you’ll work with professional theatre makers with puppets and sound to create brand new stories in a magical theatre space. Suitable for all ages.
The Bluebirds are a professional Music Theatre company based in Somerset and London. They specialise in devising new and innovative work. They develop theatre shows that include music and music shows that include theatre: This ranges from full operas, family shows and musicals to shorter cabaret shows and solo classical concert performances. What’s important to us is that we create a unique and invigorating theatre experience for everyone.

The Brewhouse Stage

The Brewhouse stage is the theatre’s main house. All shows are free but seats are limited. You can book free tickets on the Brewhouse website beforehand or at the box office on the day. (whilst availability lasts).

The Dreamers Stage

Our outdoor festival stage showcasing an awesome array of young musicians.



The Wandering Circus

Called the wandering circus because it really does wander! A range of street theatre, circus, dance and parkour performances spilling out around Somerset Square with the aerial rig at its epicentre.
